The materials are universal undercoat, pinkwood primer, etch primer, plaster primer, ceiling white, eggshell enamel, and gloss enamel in red, black, yellow and green, together with mineral turpentine, mineral thinners, crack filler and tinters. The sundries are 75mm, 100mm and 25mm Hamilton utility brushes at ten each, and 250mm Hamilton long pile and short pile rollers at five each. The quantities are the problem, and it runs through every line. Each description states a container size — 5 litres, 20 litres, 2kg, 100ml — and then the quantity is given in litres or kilograms. So ten against a 5-litre undercoat reads either as ten litres or as ten tins totalling fifty, and six against a 20-litre eggshell reads either as six litres or 120. The notice never resolves which.
