The four lines are eight drums of bitumen at 70/100 penetration grade, 90 cubic metres of 19mm surfacing stone, 40 cubic metres of 7mm quarry stone, and four drums of MC prime. The bitumen grade is stated and the stone volumes are given in cubic metres, which makes this one of the more quotable road notices on the board. The gap is the drum size. Bitumen and cutback prime are sold in drums of different capacities, and eight drums could be anywhere from 1 200 to 1 700 litres depending on which.
