A full electrical installation supply for the First Street Market in Marondera — this is effectively the material list for wiring a market building. The cable, roughly 1 600 metres in total: 30m of 16mm² 2-core armoured, 192m of 6mm² 3-core armoured, 200m of 1.5mm² 3-core flex, 500m of 1.5mm² single core red and 300m black, and 300m each of 2.5mm² single core in red, black and earth. The distribution: one 3-phase free standing meter box, one 12-way Chint DIN surface DB, 3 twenty-amp and 3 ten-amp single pole MCBs, one 63-amp double isolator, plus 3 each of number 1 glands and shrouds and 2 each of number 2. The lighting: 12 high bay LED lights at 150W, 7 LED floodlights at 200W and 2 ten-amp daylight switches. The containment and accessories: 60 lengths of 19mm PVC conduit, 200 couplings, 200 nipples, 25 six-by-three surface boxes, 6 three-by-three boxes, 15 blank covers, 40 round box lids, 10 thirteen-amp double sockets, 800 cable ties at 500mm, 5kg of tying wire, an earth rod and clamp, 5 six-millimetre steel bits, 40 veranda bolts and 5 rolls of 3M insulation tape. Delivery is within 3 days, which for 1 600 metres of cable plus fittings is the constraint worth checking. The catalogue mapping is wrong throughout — armoured cable is filed as copper pipe connectors and a meter box as a phase contrast microscope. The full tender document was not available to us.
