Analytical reagent grade laboratory chemicals for Hwange Power Station's water chemistry laboratory, running to roughly 70 lines, all marked (AR).
The solvents and acids in bulk: 40 litres each of n-hexane and n-heptane, 30 litres each of petroleum ether and ethanol, 20 litres each of methylated spirit, sulphuric acid 98%, acetic acid, ammonia 25% and acetone, and 10 litres each of nitric acid, methanol, hydrochloric acid 32%, carbon tetrachloride and oxalic acid.
The solids at 5kg: tartaric acid, potassium metabisulphite, sodium sulphite, ammonium molybdate, ANSA, ferric ammonium sulphate, mercuric thiocyanate, mercury (II) iodide and chloride, ammonium chloride, sodium and potassium hydroxide, potassium iodide, DMB, hydrazine sulphate, hydroxylamine hydrochloride, silver nitrate, ferrous and ferric ammonium sulphate, sodium arsenite, potassium dihydrogen and disodium hydrogen phosphate, potassium dichromate and chromate, potassium hydrogen phthalate, mercuric sulphate, ferrous sulphate and phenanthroline monohydrate.
Plus 1,000 Whatman or ashless No 540 filter papers, 1,500 calcium hardness indicator tablets, and 5 litres each of pH 4, 7 and 10 buffers.

Watch out for
Several lines are controlled or heavily restricted chemicals — mercury (II) chloride and iodide, mercuric sulphate and thiocyanate, sodium arsenite, carbon tetrachloride and silver nitrate. Import permits and hazardous transport apply.
Methyl red appears twice, as 'Methyl red' and 'Methylred', both at 1kg; sodium hydroxide and EDTA also each appear twice at different quantities. Confirm the totals.
Every line is specified analytical reagent grade (AR), so technical grade will not comply.
