National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (General) (Amendment) Regulations, 2026 (No. 4)

New National Arts Council fees: individual artists pay US$20 to register, art groups US$50, associations US$125 and promoters US$325; venues are waived, local shows cost US$50 a month, and importing foreign artists costs 5% of gate takings or US$500, whichever is greater.

The whole fee schedule for registering with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe is replaced. Individual artists pay US$20,00 to register and US$20,00 a year to renew. Art groups pay US$50,00 to register and US$50,00 to renew.

Organisations pay considerably more. An arts association or institution pays US$125,00 initially and US$75,00 a year thereafter. Religious institutions and studios pay US$250,00 and US$200,00. Arts promoters are the highest at US$325,00 initially and US$275,00 a year. Venues are waived entirely — initial registration, renewal and duplicate certificates all cost nothing.

Duplicate certificates cost US$50,00 for associations, promoters and religious institutions or studios, and US$20,00 for art groups and individual artists.

Two charges fall outside registration. Show clearance is US$50,00 per month for local shows, but bringing in foreign artists costs 5% of gate takings or US$500,00, whichever is greater. Clearance of broadcasting, sound and musical equipment carries an administration fee of 1,5% of the invoice value.

All fees are payable in United States dollars or the local currency equivalent at the prevailing interbank rate. The 2023 amendment regulations are repealed. No commencement date is stated.
