Statute Law Compilation and Revision (Correction of Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Act, 2026) Notice of 2026 The Law Reviser, in terms of section 11C of the Statute Law Compilation and Revision Act following

The Law Reviser has used the power in section 11C of the Statute Law Compilation and Revision Act to correct the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Act, 2026, as published in the Government Gazette Extraordinary of 7 July 2026.

The correction concerns section 180 (appointment of judges). The Schedule gives the extent of correction as "(c) by the repeal of subsections (3), (4), (4a) and (5)".

The explanatory note says the published Act contained errors in the provisions amending section 180, and that the National Assembly Hansard of 17 June 2026 and the Senate Hansard of 24 June 2026 show the amendments were passed as originally proposed in the Bill, without alterations. The notice brings the published text into line with that.

The notice does not reprint the corrected section 180, so it does not show on its own how judges are now appointed.
