Plumtree Town (Traffic, Clamping and Tow-away) By-laws, 2025

These by-laws cover parking, public transport, clamping and towing in the Plumtree Town area: where and how vehicles may park, projecting beyond a bay, picking up and setting down passengers, parking on sidewalks, visibility obstruction, parking discs, taxis, omnibuses, terminus discs, animal-drawn vehicles, heavy vehicles in the CBD and residential areas, clamping, towing and unclaimed vehicles.

Operator's licences for Class 1 and Class 2 driving schools cost US$138,55 a year, while lorries in the sand extraction sector and the bus terminus gate tolls are printed as nil. Terminus entry fees are set by route: US$20 for a bus to Mutare, US$16 to Harare, US$13,35 for the Plumtree–Bulawayo bus, US$8 for a bus to rural areas and US$7 for a commuter omnibus to Bulawayo.

The penalty schedule is uniform: US$20 for failing to display a prepaid parking disc, parking outside a parking place, obstructing an entrance to a service lane, garage or driveway, overhanging the parking place, parking a pedal cycle outside its area, stopping to pick up or set down passengers or goods at an undesignated area, operating an unregistered taxi, using an undesignated route or terminus, failing to use designated goods routes, parking heavy vehicles in residential areas or the CBD without permission, and obstructing an authorised person. Using an animal-drawn vehicle without a permit is printed as nil.
