A-D Appointment of Ambassadors (Cuba, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, United States of America)
Four new ambassadors are appointed: Patrick Ronald Mutasa to Cuba, Lovemore Mazemo to South Africa, Isaac Annanias Moyo to the UAE and David Douglas Hamadziripi to the United States.
The President has appointed four ambassadors under section 110(2)(i) as read with section 204 of the Constitution. The appointments were notified on 17 September 2025 in four parts of the same general notice.
Patrick Ronald Mutasa is appointed Ambassador to Cuba. Lovemore Mazemo is appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Africa. Isaac Annanias Moyo is appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates. David Douglas Hamadziripi is appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States of America.
For Zimbabweans abroad, the South Africa, UAE and United States postings are the ones that matter most day to day — those three missions handle the largest diaspora populations and the consular services that go with them.
The notice records the appointments only. It does not give effective dates, the date each ambassador takes up post, or who they replace.
