Designation of Special Economic Zone
800 hectares at Inhoek Farm in Chirumhanzu district became a special economic zone on 10 July 2025 — investors there can now apply for SEZ status and its incentives.
The Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency has declared a special economic zone under section 31 of the ZIDA Act, with effect from 10 July 2025.
The zone is 800 hectares at Inhoek Farm in Nyikavanhu Ward 15, in the district of Chirumhanzu. The notice fixes it by six survey coordinates: A245730/7903772, B248961/7903162, C250587/7905870, D249475/7905870, E247717/7906013 and F247010/7904408.
A map of the area is available for inspection at ZIDA, First Floor, ZB Life Towers, corner Sam Nujoma Street and Jason Moyo Avenue, Harare, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday other than public holidays.
The notice designates the land only. It does not itself set out which incentives apply, what licensing an investor in the zone must obtain, or how existing occupiers of the farm are affected — those follow from the ZIDA Act and the licence terms rather than from this notice.
