Alternative Use of Broadcasting Service Bands
Two FM frequencies are opened for temporary broadcasting until 31 December 2027 — 93.5 MHz at Tongogara Refugee Camp in Chipinge and 103.4 MHz at Chikurubi in Harare.
The Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe has determined that two frequency bands are available for allocation, under the Fifth Schedule to the Broadcasting Services Act.
The frequencies are 93.5 MHz at Tongogara Refugee Camp in Chipinge (longitude 32.1822, latitude -20.2041) and 103.4 MHz at Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services, Chikurubi, Harare (longitude 31.1125, latitude -17.4725).
Both are available for licensing for the temporary transmission or retransmission of programmes, and that availability runs until 31 December 2027.
Broadcasters interested in either frequency should contact the Authority on (242) 443 465-67, email info@baz.co.zw, or write to the Chief Executive Officer at 27 Boscobel Drive West, Highlands, Harare. The notice does not set out an application deadline or the licence fee.
