By-elections Nomination Court Results for Gutu East and Insiza North Constituencies
Seven candidates were nominated for the 14 June 2025 by-elections — three in Gutu East and four in Insiza North — with polling from 0700 to 1900 hours.
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission notified the results of the Nomination Courts that sat on Thursday 15 May 2025 for two National Assembly by-elections, under section 48 of the Electoral Act.
In Gutu East, three candidates were nominated: Gift Gonese (Independent), Zvarevashe Masvingise (ZANU PF) and Zivanai Nzvenga (NCA).
In Insiza North, four candidates were nominated: Leslie Dube (Independent), Thabani Mlotshwa (ZAPU), Delani Moyo (ZANU PF) and Mbongeni Moyo (ZNRP). All seven candidates in both constituencies are men.
Polling took place on Saturday 14 June 2025 from 0700 to 1900 hours. One note on the record: the notice is headed "General Notice 1027 of 2024" in the gazette text, which appears to be a printing error — every date in it, and the by-elections themselves, are 2025.
